Have you ever told an environmentalist that abdicating personal liberty, crippling private industry, and throwing bales of cash at Al Gore to ward off a fictional fiery apocalypse may be a just a little hasty and perhaps worthy of a little thoughtful consideration? If you did, I’m amazed. Most people don’t make it to the word “abdicating” before being crushed under a pigpile of bearded fanatics with body odor who pelt them with Birkenstocks and shriek “Denier!” (At least that is an image that I have in my head after listening to Air America a few times when a ball game was on the other stations. May it rest in peace.)
I found this parody on Hot Air. A great song, “I’m a Believer,” made even greater, IMHO.
These are some courageous dudes. I doff my hat.
By the way, the same piece at Hot Air provided another delicious “I never thought of that!” post-election moment. I had of course rejoiced in the probable demise of Cap and Trade, but Ed Morrissey points out that the EPA’s flagrant power grab will likely go the way of Al Gore’s carbon trading boondoggle — into oblivion. (May they rest in peace.)
