I love it when life imitates good satire. Here you have Code Pink harpy, Jodie Evans, hosting a proper Hollywood Fundraiser for gubernatorial candidate, Jerry Brown, and getting bent out of shape because her elite Marxist guests must step over pro-America protesters in order to get in the door.
Big Government described the scene when conservative radio personality, Melanie Morgan, and other conservatives showed up at Evans’ house and disrupted Governor (he hopes) Moonbeam’s party.
Jerry Brown sneaked into the house from the back door while Melanie Morgan threw her body onto the sidewalk shouting, “Code Pink supports terrorists!” When not lying on the sidewalk, Morgan stood outside the back gate, “yelling through a screen at [Evans] while she sipped her white wine as Brown’s security guard watched from inside his SUV with the engine running for two hours.” Though the Dodge Durango burned needless fossil fuels, presumably waiting for Brown’s departure, he left in yet another vehicle.
Of course, As Moe Lane points out at Red State, Jerry Brown has some ‘splaining to do. What does his long association with Evans tell us about him?
This would be the point where there is usually a pro forma statement that of course one can’t assume that enthusiastically taking the money of a pro-terrorist, radical, America-hating, troop-hating, Jew-hating nutjob means that one subscribes to said nutjob’s pro-terrorist, radical, America-hating, troop-hating, Jew-hating agenda. On the other hand, it’s Moonbeam Brown. The question isn’t whether he agrees with Evans: the question is whether he’d ever have the opportunity to do something about it. I think that it would be best if that stayed an academic question…
Someone should remind Californians how quick they were to excuse President Obama from the America-hating Marxists that surrounded him. They can’t afford to make that mistake again.
