Obama: I can’t swim down and plug the hole… suck it up with a straw

Does this mean he really can’t walk on water?

President Obama’s latest excuse for inaction in the gulf: “I can’t swim down and plug the hole… I can’t suck it up with a straw.”

What?  Bobby Jindal must have the patience of a saint, because I don’t live anywhere near the gulf, and this makes me want to pull my hair out.

We know you can’t do anything about it! Just get out of the way and quit blocking those who can!

Gateway Pundit:

Umm… Nobody’s asking you to, Barack.

But, maybe you could order more oil boom like the miles of boom waiting in a Maine warehouese? Maybe you could drop or expedite the regulations that is holding up the cleanup? Maybe you could accept assistance from foreign nations who offer to help? Maybe you could make clear who’s in charge? Maybe you could act like it’s an a emergency instead of going on vacation while America loses 18 of its southern beaches for generations? Maybe you could act like a leader and quit whining and blaming others?

The oil spill has been a slow-motion trainwreck, slowly forming offshore and working its way toward land. Weeks have turned into months, with no significant measures taken to ameliorate the impending catastrophe. Not because nobody knows what to do, but because President Obama guards the gate… delaying, diddling, and stonewalling.

These are the petulant whinings of a child. We need an adult in charge.
